Scared to ask, but what's the price for a new one from Ford? Second choice would be a wrecking yard.......

The web search for wreckers was generally around $124 , but I assume that was with pump. I don't need the pump. I will be foolish and ask the dealer tomorrow.

I've been pleasantly surprised on some occasions as to how reasonable the OEM stuff was, and to be honest, I prefer it.

I agree that the $124 from the wrecker includes the pump.......what happened with yours that you need a new one? Guessing its not repairable?

Actually there's nothing wrong with the current set up. I was fooling with the idea of adding a low fluid level indicator. I wanted another reservoir to use for prototyping. Too much spare time right now I suppose ! If it was summer,I would just remove the tank and work with it. Tis' the season using the washer a lot right now though.

Capacitive, pressure or float? I suppose you could use opticle.

I am thinking horizontal float to keep the cost down. I couldn't find an inexpensive optical.

So the local Ford parts department quoted $234.00 for the washer reservoir, saying it includes the battery tray ! Full stop on the project.
