Heya Folks
This started today. My left turn signal is working fine up to the point I break.
Then it comes on Steady.
When I am not breaking, it blinks properly.
I have checked all fuses and bulbs and they all look ok.
Any ideas.. this is a bit annoying.
Cheers

Check Grounding on that side
The best way to check this is to pull light bulb out and see what happens

so.. start at the back and remove all the bulbs.. until I find the problem???
Wish it was something simpler.. LOL

Here is what I have done...
I moved all the bulbs around starting in the back and moving in front with no changes...
So.. I decided to go in the steering column, I removed the bottom and was trying to get the top to go and the emergency signal switched changed and the turn signal starting to work normally.
So.. there is something wrong in the steering column, but it is working now, I think it is only contacts that need to be clean, but I was cold and decided to put it all back together. Hopefully it can last up to spring and in the spring I can take it apart...
Thank you all for your suggestions.. I learned a lot today

I went for a ride today..
2 minutes before returning home.. it started again..
Arrived home.. took the swithes apart in the steering column.. clean all the contact and everything and it is still doing it :(
out of idea now.. :(

Are your break lights and turning light the same light.
Check your flasher and the relay that controls break lights

Nope.. they are not...
But.. I am wondering if it could be the Flasher Relay(switch, the yellow one) that does that...

I think thats it (Part # F67Z-13350-AA)
Have a flash light handy and while your on your back looking strait up into the inside of the dash look to your right, you will see a little yellow box:icon_rolleyes:. You can also turn your signal on and find where the clicking is coming from.
If you get it from Cdn Tire, you can always return it:icon_lol:
Hope thats all it is

Fixed again...
I got some contact cleaner. When I got out of the store.. I cleaned all around the 4 way flasher switch...
It did not do anything until I press the switch.. and push it back in..
It started working properly. So I am sure right now that it is the 4 way flasher switch.. but working so..I am not touching it anymore
Got to love contact cleaner :)
Thanks everyone

Well.. I am back....
You folks wont believe my luck.. LOL
It is now doing the same thing on the Right Turn Signal..
But I know for a fact it is not the same switch. I took it apart and removed the switch completely.. Press the break and the light still comes on.
I also removed the yellow turn signal switch under and when removed I press the break and the freaking turn signal still comes on..
This is almost impossible that two problems with cause the same exact problem except on the opposite light..but I think that is what it is..
I am completely lost now..
I checked the wiring harness and cleaned all connection. I dont think it is it either...
I might have to take it to Ford.. and I really dont want to.. LOL

Did you check your grounding
Grounding Where???
I did that last month. took everything apart and check all the wiring.
I am not a car mechanic or an expert.. I have no idea what to check. I ask and do step by step what people tell me..

Every light should have a separate ground,
Check if your turning light and the break light connected to the same ground
also when they come on are they at full brightness or a bit dim
if they are fully bright than its your controls, if not than it is grounding or plug corrosion somewhere
Sorry I'm not exact on pinpointing your problem
Do you have a trailer plug, did you check it?

1. They come Full Bright
2. When I put the Emergency Flasher and I press the break they both come on and stay on
3. I am wondering if there are other controls then the switch on the steering column or the yellow turn signal switch. When disconnected the light still comes on when I press the break.
I have a trailer plug. I cleaned the inside of it. It seems pretty corroded though but I wiggled it like crazy and there was no change.

Yep.. you were right...
What I did.. is backup the rear in the garage so I could lay under.
Then I put a shovel to hold my break down.
When the play with Trailer harness.. and the little box under started to smoke.
I disconnected it and reconnected the harness... and Bingo..
Its all working..
Thanks

One more thing
Did you try to remove turning lights fuse or break lights fuse
and see what happens?
