OK so I know alot of you don't like them but my kids bought me a set of clear euro tail lights that require the red bulbs(led)
I bought a set of red 3157 led bulbs and tried them...the signal and brake lights work but no tail lights unless you pull the bulbs out and just hold them in( with out pushing them all the way in) Everything looks ok on the bulbs.
Any ideas why the tail lights won't work when seated all the way in?:icon_cry:
Can you get the 3157 bulbs in red that are not led ?

Lucky you
You have great kids
3157 replaces 3057 3155 3357 3457 4157
Can you find one of them here (http://www.sylvania.com/cgi-bin/MsmGo.exe?grab_id=88&EXTRA_ARG=FILTERNAME%3D%2540URL%00%26FILTERVALUE%3 Dwww%252Esylvania%252Ecom&host_id=42&page_id=5768192&query=3156+or+3157+Silver+Vision&hiword=or+3156+3156A+Silver+3156K+3157+3157A+SILVE RY+3157K+VISIONS+Vision+)
but only in white and yellow
did those lights come with resistor?
did you try to plug in the bulb the other way?

I have tried the bulbs every which way I could think of and still nothing, by the way these are for my 150 4x4 (2000)
No resistors and the signals flash faster...to indicate that I have a blown bulb (stock bulb) I was told that a heavy duty flasher would also fix the flash problems ? but I don't have to worry if I can't get the tail lights to work :(
Ya I do have great kids, I have been very lucky :)

So does anyone ( or did) use the LED light bulbs in their tail lights and if so what problems did you have?:icon_sad:

I went and got two more LED bulbs of a different brand and they work just fine, after a closer look at the other bulbs the wire for the contacts are to fine and don't make contact. So back they go:icon_rolleyes: (junk)

Let us know where you got it from so no one gets them again

The ones that didn't work came from a small special order custom stereo shop, the lights are called CLA performance led lights(super bright)
The ones that worked are Eurolites from Canadian Tire......they finally ordered them for me after giving me the big speal about only police and ambulances are aloud to have red bulbs and they can't sell them to me...:icon_rolleyes:
Now all I need to do is get an electronic flasher to slow the turn signals down.
