Emotional rollercoaster

Hi.
Put a deposit on the truck in avatar on Saturday.
An 05 FX4 with 21k kms. Approval to bank for financing to follow.
Truck was returned after a lease so the dealership did not officially own it (so I am still curious as to how they could sell it)
Was informed my financing is approved
BUT
the truck was bought by a dealer in Quebec as they went over the cost amount to purchase. <-- that legal??

So now the dealer will try to find me a comparison to the one 'that got away'
Frustrating.
Anyone experience anything like this in the past?

I work in the industry and lease returns are property of ford credit for a dealer to get you aproved they would have only called ford credit once they had a sollid deal. Odds are Ford Credit had promised the truck to the other dealer before you walked on the lot. It is quite normal to put the cart ahead of the horse.

I am not overly sore nor do I have any ill regard towards this dealer or Ford.
Well ok, a little miffed at the Quebec dealer that got it.
I drove the truck a couple times on Saturday, I talked myself into accepting it & WHAM-O shes-a-goner!

Oh well it happens.
I am getting an FX4 but unfortunately I strongly doubt it will be one with that kind of mileage. Probably more in the 50k km range for an 04 or 05.

Oh well, on a postive note, I AM GETTING A TRUCK & KEEPING MY STANGS!!
The question is; WHEN??
I was told there will be more on that internal FoMoCo website for lease returns on next Wednesday.
Today the dealer found a white 04, leather - loaded with a tad under 50k and they are buying it for their stock even if I don't want it.
I get 1st kick at the can for it and they will call me when it arrives (they are guessing this Thursday).

Fun fun fun.

Keep your chin up, don't settle for something you really don't want. I waited for a while and finally found the truck i wanted. It's a super mint 04 Super Crew 4x4 with only 43,000 klm's. I got it 3 weeks ago. I'm not affraid to say what i paid for it either. $20,000 on the button. :icon_biggrin:

Man my tastes have changed.
I used to only go WOW that is nice to sports cars but man; WOW that is a nice truck!!

Oh the 04 white FX4 (I mentioned earlier) that the dealer was to buy for their stock did not happen. I spoke with their buyer tonight, he said there was something listed about it he did not like.
Now I gotta wait until next Wed. Hopefully they'll give me some good news. Either way it was agreed that if there is nothing for me next week, I get my $2k downpayment back.
Personally I want an FX4.
If this place doesn't come through, I'll ask for WHOM to contact at Blackstock Ford in Orangeville.
I know what I want and will wait to get it.:icon_wink:
