It make sound like a oitch for snake oil, but using Motorcraft Cetene Booster and Performance Improver does improve fuel economy and provide more power and better operation. Unlike Octane, Cetene levels in Diesel are not regulated and can vary widely from 35 to 45. Ford Powerstrokes (or any direct injection diesel) are designed to work with a minimum of 40. It is IMPERATIVE the additive is ULSD compliant, emmissions and engine damage can occur if it is not. One 600ML bottle does 473 of fuel. $9.95

i use it now and will say yes yes yes i noticed considerable power gains as well noticed less lag out of the hole.I ran truck with the ford high idle module as truck would idle a lot noticed with out the additive when you took off holy smokerness , with additive none

With the fuel available today especially winter fuel it is imperative to run an additive. Without one your fuel system is not getting the lubrication that it needs. That is the biggest benefit to running it. With the Ctane enhancement you usually can see a small increase in performance and a noticeable increase in economy.:icon_lol:

I ran a few tanks of ULSD without any additives when I first bought my truck, and then I read about the danger of doing that, so started using various additives. I've been using the Motorcraft stuff for the last 2 months on every fill, but I can't say I've noticed any major difference between it and anything else I've used. In fact, to be entirely honest I really haven't noticed any differences with or without additives. Haven't had to replace any injectors yet, so who knows :confused005:

I use it more to help the DPF system than mileage. I tracked my mileage for about 2 months when I first got my truck and I saw no appreciable difference. It certainly didn't help my fuel economy. The answer would be to get rid of the Very very ($3600.00) expensive DPF filter in the exhaust system.

I doubt that any of the additives do a whole lot of good for power or fuel economy. The old saying if it sounds to good to be true????? However, anti-gel is another thing. As an aside, I have used Power Service for some time and see absolutelty no differences, but I feel good doing it.

I used the Cetane Booster & Performance Improver from the first tank of diesel. One thing that I have noticed is that I have not had a regen and I have 5,000 km on it now. There has only been 2,000 km of driving with no load (I tow a 14, 000 lb travel trailer). My average milage towing is 28 lt / 100 km (10 miles / imp gal) towing @ 110 km/hr.
