Does anyone know if the 2008 Ranger FX4 is suposed to have automatic door locks? On all my other Ford's, the doors lock automatically once I start moving. I can't find anything in the manual about this.

Yes its a programmable feature

What I have noticed is for car with an auto transmission, they will lock as soon as you put it into drive but for manual, they will lock at a certain speed. I would also be curious if this is possible on my new truck.

And I would be curious if this 'feature' can be disabled on an '07 XLT. I read the manual but don't recall seeing anything about it.

Your ford dealer can enable and disable this for you

Ok thanks - next time I go there I think I'll have it disconnected. I know it's supposed to strengthen the frame in the event of a rollover, and if you have kids I guess it's a good feature. Since I don't, I always find it to be a pain in the *ss when I hop out and go to grab something from the back seat and find it locked every time.
