I just got done replacing the LF inner and outer wheel bearings and races on my 05 F250. It looks like the inner seal failed and took out the inner bearing and race, so I replaced all of them. With under 70k on it this seemed a bit premature. Has anyone else had this problem?
I sure wish I had my new garage I'm building this year done so I didn't have to work outside this time of year :icon_cry:

I have heard of 2 guys i work with having to replace there's but they have F150's and the K's where under 80,000. I think one guy said his truck only had 50 or 60,000 k's.

That would be premature
Did Ford cover any replacement parts?

Unfortunately the local dealer couldn't get me in until Friday, and I needed the truck for Thursday so I did it myself in the driveway tonight and finished just before what is said to be about 15cm of snow started :icon_eek:

It wasn't too bad at all, only $70 and that was inner and outer bearings and races and the seal as well.
Actually I have been a frequent customer at Carquest lately, I just ordered the gaskets to do my sons 97 F150 V6 intake and timing cover gaskets today as well as new plugs, oil, filter and battery cable.:icon_rolleyes:
