well after 5 years of good service, the 00 expy is going to another home. a lady down the street bought it for 10,000. we met at ford and she paid us and we picked up a new 08 escape limited. the 80.00 fillups are going to be a welcome change. here's some picks of the dirty girl.

thanx, there wasn't much to choose from on the lot. this one one a bunch of 4 bangers. NOT. as long as she's happy i guess. it's gonna take me a while to adjust to the down size.

thanx to all the responses. they are a nice little suv. we wanted a sport trac, but the 8 week build was to long. it's gonna be weird for a while seeing the old girl driving by the house, but we'll get over it. probably the first time we fill it up.

I felt the same way after selling my last truck to a co-worker, it was weird seeing in the parking lot at work and driving around the area but then 5 months later I got a call saying that a person driving my truck had got a impared! Apparently the ?/@HOLE I sold it too never bothered to register it in his name, and just put on a set of bogus plates. The police informed me that even though I bought the selling package etc etc I still needed to go into the Licensing Office and report that I had sold the vehicle. I could have been charged for the no plates, no insurance etc etc but luckily nothing like that happened to me :icon_eek:
Oh yeah....... nice ride for the wife!

NIce ride, I've had two Sport Tracks and honestly I think you'll (she'll) like the Escape better, the new Sport Tracks are overpriced IMO.

the escape has been good, had it for 6 months now and it's been great. mileage has been as high as 28 and around 17-19 for an average. usually 22-24 on the highway. only mods so far are a bug deflector and inchannel rain guards and a HID hi/low kit.

Nice ride. We have a sport trak (05) and are very unhappy with it. Usefull little truck but the build quality sucks, that thing has sqeeked and rattled since brand new. Not sure about the new ones though.

we actually wanted an 08 ST, but there was none at our only dealer, and we weren't prepared to wait 8-10 weeks for them to build us one. my buddy here has a 02 ST and takes it mudding all the time, his has been good. here's a couple of him having fun.

Yeah i like the ST for wheeling but it always squeeked and rattled on the road for us, even when the bed was completly empty. Nice pics by the way.

Thanks Paul. that is a buddy of mine's truck. those pics are from last summer. he did a little "trimming" and was able to put 33" super swampers on it. played with it all the time. there is a deep hole just to the left and to the foreground of him that is nasty. when they go play, they sometimes need the help of a loader. brave buggers......
