I happen to have a set of 33 baja claws kicking around from my jeep and have been thinking of putting them on my truck for the summer. Wanted to ask a few questions first to make sure I don't go buy new rims for nothing.

I was just wondering if they will fit without issues on an unlifted 2000 xlt 4x4. Its not going to be used for wheeling just on the roads. I don't want to lift my truck (not a fan of wheel IFS, and have a wheeling rig project in the works). So just wondering if they will fit and what offset to get on the rims for it.

I ran 33's on 16"rims on my 99 reg cab at stock hight no probs

Yes 33's will fit on your trck with your stock wheels or aftermarket wheels the only issue you may have is rubbing on he front lower valance but you can trim that or just space your bumper out a bit

Going to need new rims since my stocks are 17s and the tires are 15s

The minimum rim size you can run on a 97-03 F150 is 16" 15" wont clear the brake caliper's so if you have 15" tires their not much good to you

and if you do decide to get new rims you will want a wheel with a 4.5" backspacing

can you not space it out enough to clear the calipers or switch to a different caliper

Just my opinion I personally think wheel spacers aren't safe and wouldn't recommend them I would get the right size rim and tire combination and avoid future safety problems or headaches later

not talking about putting wheel spacers in, just rims with less backspacing (maybe 3.75")

Wont work, 15" wont clear the brake caliper's and where are you going to find a 15" wheel 5x135 mm bolt pattern?

remember the further out the wheels stick out its harder on wheel bearings etc.
