I know there's an "off" switch but what does it actually do?
I like the styling of the 2003 plus Navigator but if I can't defeat the stability control, there's no way I'd buy one.
So:
1. Does it turn everything off? or just certain features?
2. Does it only turn it off at lower speeds? IE: above a certain speed does it come back on? or if it senses extreme conditions cut back in?
3. If it won't turn it off completely, (I don't mind remembering whenever starting up to do so!) can I pull a fuse to shut it down? Or?
4. I don't care about losing traction control either as one of the first mods will be a rear locker or LSD dif and decent Mud tires.
Just wondering if anyone who owns a Navigator (or Expedition) has turned it off or maybe someone who's at a dealer knows the answer. If I can't defeat it, I'll just get a 1st Gen Navi but really like the dash in the 2003. LOL.
(Yes, I KNOW the air susp is a problem as I worked at various Ford dealers. LOL. THAT will be replaced pretty quickly too! Not raised. Not in Ontario I won't raise a truck anyways! Just replaced with standard Expy springs or aftermarket NON air springs. LOL)
