fuel pump

hey guys
the front fuel pump on my truck isnt working.
what are some tests that i can do before i assume that the pump it self is fried?

All I can say is to turn the ignition on and listen for the pump to turn on and off, other than that ???

yea, thats the 1st thing i tried, i can hear the back pump whirr, but not the front one :(

Did you check for pressure with a fuel pressure gauge ?

What year truck and motor is this on so we can better help you?

i didnt check for pressure, i dont have a gauge.

and its a 94 f150, with the 5.8L automatic trans
