Well, not even 10,000 km on the Dealer installed roush internally cooled supercharger, and cylinder #4 has no compression, #6 piston melted, and a hell of a tick coming from the bottom end..... new engine is the only fix. Caused by nothin other than roush's supercharger, I am left footing the bill for a new engine, no recourse from roush... I heavily recomend never dealing with this company, Im out at least $14,000 for the dumbest decision ive made in a long time, clicking onto Roush.com....

Was your engine modified to accomadate the extra power? or was it on a stock engine? That's stupid they won't warranty something they installed new! Sorry to hear about this, that's gotta hurt. Could that get covered under insurance??? Have you thought of looking into a remanufactured engine, there's a place in Toronto called Cross Town Engines a little far from you but it could give you an idea.

I don't see any prices for motors after 2000 though.

That licks!

I find it hard to understand why they wouldn't back their product, did you buy it through the dealer or did they just install it. If the dealer is saying it's the charger they should contact Roush to inform them about a problem, Roush should do their own inspection and either way you shouldn't need to worry about the cost.

Sorry Man

Sucks..

Now it sounds and looks from your sig that they truck has been modified more then just the charger..

They could dem it modified.. which then wouldn't be covered..

Methonol injection is to cool the intake charge. You are thinking Methyl Hydrate.

u gotta be on glue to think roush would do anything for you ,its not their fault ,there had to be a problem somewhere else like to much boost etc but if you bought the truck like that then it should be on the dealers shoulders

generally roush has a 3 year warrenty, mind you that may only apply if your still under the ford base warrerenty. That i do not know.

I do know that i installed one on a new 08 f150.

I also hear that some places that were installing them in edmonton were having tuning problems with the roush tune, personally i think they should include an upgraded fuel pump.

Id say the factory pump is borderline at best and if your truck had any kind of milage and any kind of offroad milage your borderline pump could have been less then ideal.

The kit does come with larger injectors but without a fuel pump change one has to wonder. There is a reason why lightnings come stock with dual fuel pumps.

Did you have a wideband or fuel pressure guage?

sounds like it wasnt tuned properly... how much boost were you running ? if your looking for answeres that may have caused this and your not getting them here throw it up over at modularfords.com its all about the mod motors alot of stangs but with alot of interchangable parts there pretty well the same
