first off i have searched the forums and havent found an answer.

1994 ranger 4X4 supercab

i am installing a 7 pin trailer light and brake system. i have the factory 4 pin wiring also there i have a 4 pin to 7 pin trailer light adapter. i know that the blue wire goes to my brake controller, and that the black goes to a fused 12V wire. and my orange/yellow wire goes to my back up lights.

Where can i find under the bed of the truck at 12V wire to splice into, as i would like to avoid if possible running a wire into the cab to pickup the 12V wire.?

hopefully doing the install tomorrow. please let me know when you can.

Thanks

There isn't probably a 12volt constant @ the back..

You'll most likely have to run up front to the batt or an open slot in the fuse block

lovely i was trying to avoid that...
got a little lazy and was hoping to avoid that. is there a 12V that is powered only when the truck is turned on around there somewhere?

You can use a relay..
It is triggered when the ignition is on giving you 12v power.. but when the ignition is shut off it takes away power..

15 would be a min
I would run #10AWG wire for your Batt + and fuse it at 15 amps
