Changing an 03 airbox for a windstar ones

Will the maf fit from a windstar at the place of the ranger 4l maf. If not would a 4l freestar fit and is the airbox of the same design has the windstar long cylinder one.

My problem is that the oem ranger 03 airbox take it air directly behind the headlamp and when i go wheeling i cross a couple of deep water hole that i have to get tow to cross. If i could fit the windstar style airbox in place i could get the air off the wheel area and even but a arb snorkel on it. I dont mind making a hole in the engine bay to exit the hood area but i need something straight to the side. If someone has a pic of the older airbox also i want to see where it goes for air.

you have the 3l or 4l in your 03 ranger?

the ARB snorkel for an 80's Toyota Landcruiser will fit your Ranger 4l... here's a link that might help

Thanks for the link. Is the 94 airbox the same has the 4l 2003 airbox. he didnt post any pic of how he mounted it to the stock airbox trought the fender if someone saw some i would really like to see them.
