I rode in a truck that was equipped with a SCT.. '08 Diesel HD with 8" lift 22" rims and I think 37" tires..

The salesman took me for a spin and kicked it sideways while pulling out onto the road..

I have tried a few of the different ones out there. The Bully Dog, Superchip, SCT and our own. Which ever way you go, make sure you run a pyrometer. Exhaust gas temperatures can get really high. Most of them are also going to have the ability to remove the speed limiter and calibrate the speedo for tire size.

Assuming it's for a diesel super duty, have you looked into the Banks Six Gun, awesome results, I have tried it on two different 6.0L and it was crazy, of course they had other mods, exhaust is a must

I have a Hypertech Max Econ to improve fuel economy. It improved my city mileage to 14 from 12. Didn't help the highway mileage. But the second setting really made the truck come alive. The two settings on the Hypertech Econ are the same as the first two settings on the Max Energy model.

from what I have just seen, stay away from the edge juice module as it turns your dpf into what looks like a melted catalytic converter. (on the 6.4)

That's pretty big money for a piece of pipe and a program. I read somewhere that Spartan is charging around $800. On the upside I've been reading on other forums that guys are seeing an improvement of as much as 5-6 mpg. If that's the case it wouldn't take long to recover the cost no matter what you pay for it. I've been considering this mod so thanks for the info.

I have installed 2 of the sct programmers for customers. They have really worked out well for the guys, both trucks also had an airaid cold air and mbrp turbo back exhaust. The one truck went from 28Litres/ 100kms to 18litres/100kms!

For the 6.0 there is nothing that will compete with a custom tuned SCT. But for the 6.4's I am not sure I know SCT has there livewire available for them with the extreme race option which includes the pyrometer. Little pricey but worth it.
