I picked up some Ford box rails at a yard sale last year, minus the mounting hardware....only $5, so worth the price, given they are nearly perfect. These match the ones that came from the dealer on my '90 XLT, but they obviously fit up to the model changeover (long box).
Anyone found a really good substitute for mounting in a similar situation? I guess I could put wood down in the holes, then attach the rails into the wood, but I'm also wondering if there is after-market replacement mounting hardware, or a better way to do the mounts?
