FORD, FOOSE CREATE ULTIMATE STREET TOUGH F-150 2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition
* Chip Foose, star of TV's "Overhaulin'", designs first factory product – the 2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition that interprets his hot-rod style through America's favorite pickup.
* The Hot Rod Hall of Fame's youngest inductee and Hollywood regular, on TV and as a custom vehicle builder for hit movies such as Gone in 60 Seconds.
* Foose's design visually lowers the truck in the boulevard-cruiser spirit while maintaining the Ford F-150's Built Ford Tough pedigree.
* The 2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition is the most powerful half-ton truck on the market with a supercharged 5.4-liter V-8 delivering 450 hp and 500 lbs.-ft. of torque.

The Foose Edition F-150 is powered by a supercharged version of the 5.4L Triton V8 producing
450 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 500 ft-lbs. of torque at 4,000 rpm that sends power through a
four-speed automatic. That's not as much power as the Dodge Ram SRT-10, but that 500-hp truck
went out of production in 2006, leaving the mantle of World's Fastest Pickup for the F-150 Foose
Edition to pick up. While this is technically a concept, the production version it inspires will go on
sale this fall. Incredibly, Foose and Ford developed this truck in the time after last year's SEMA Show
in November when discussions between the two began. There's no word on pricing or how many
will be produced, but expect the F-150 Foose Edition to be expensive and exclusive.

Now put 4x4 in it and jack it up! Nothing worse then a lowered truck! They look absolutely ridiculous....! Thats my opinion!
I'll take my FX4 anyday!

Honeslty..
Can't compare.. 4x4 lifted truck is totally different then a slammed truck..
The slammed foose truck would rock you on any road/track racing course..
But wouldn't make it in any mud..
It's like comparing a mud truck to a rock crawler.. different setups..
I love the foose style!! :icon_twisted:

thats a sick looking truck i buy one to tow my ranger with haha
I know I'm totally reviving an old thread here...
I ran into the fraser dealer and took an up close and personal look at the one they had there...
It's quarter mile time is at best mid to high 14s....thats pretty much the same as the NON BLOWN Tundra 5.7 Iforce....in my mind, a little disappointing.
I can be very picky, the stock dual exhaust was crooked, the interior was not overly impressive, the thing is just too heavy and bulky, even with a blower it doesnt move like it should.
I'd take an L over this thing hands down anyday!
But hey, wouldn't mind it as a DD:cool-smiley-9027:

Saw one at a summer Ford show, I wasn't impressed. It sits too high, interior sucks and after reading the previous threads about 1/4 mile times... I'm glad I have my Harley truck.
I think Foose missed the mark on this one.

I like the looks but the interior and lack of power is a "big negatory ghostrider"
The photos they have put out, like the ones in the beginning of this thread are BS as well....NO the truck does not come with that low stance and NO it does not come with those foose rims

That truck was one of the most uninpresive things I have ever seen and I seriously doubt Chip Foose had much to do with it except letting Ford use his name. The truck has no upgraded brakes, pretty much stock FX2 interior and I don't even think the wheels are real Foose wheels.
This truck is no were in the same ballpark as the Lightning or the SRT10 Ram but yet still carrys a 60+k price tag which I guess is the reason why I haven't even seen one on the road yet.

Andrew, I couldn't agree more, my dealer had one in the showroom and it sucked! He did however have it listed for around $48K, still without any takers.
It is a real letdown for the Foose badging

I guess they are being forced to slash the prices since they are just not selling
and winter is around the corner.
My local Ford dealer has had two of these trucks sitting on his lot since they were made available and I really don't think they are going anywere anytime soon.
ah well, Id take it over an srt10 either way!
I have a company ram1500, cant stand the thing, thank goodness its free.
I ran into an srt10 not too long ago,he followed me up the backroads and tryed to slam it past me.......dont think so!!:icon_lol:

Agree 100%. Nothing more than an FX2 with a Roush charger straped to it.
Interior has nothing origional in it and the 22" wheels are not even Foose wheels they are chrome clad crap.
I have serious doubts Chip Foose had anything to do with this truck other than leaseing his name out.
Even trying to put a better quality exhaust on that truck is a pain because the rear bodykit is moulded to fit the design of the stock unit.
