Would anyone possibly know the recomended torque setting for the wheel bearings on my truck. On the 3rd left front . Thanks.

can't find my chilton right now. sorry. maybe another member can help. also welcome to the site!!! a chilton/haynes manual is like gold if you do any work on your truck. i recomend picking one up.:icon_smile:

if it is a 4WD this is the info


Bolt the unit bearing hub in to the new knuckle using red Loctite and torque to 80 ft/lb
torque the axle nut to 190 ft/lb

Thanks very much SKRWZ info is much appreciated. THis one is only torqued to 100. maybe thats why they dont last.

Even something as simple as overtightening Lug Nuts can greatly reduce wheel bearing life.
