Hey, I have a 1994 Ford F150 2wd auto and my transmission is starting to go, or so I think. It takes about half a second to engage sometimes and when it does it clunks, now its starting to clunk when it shifts in 2nd. And its a hard friggin shit. So what do I do? My research has come to the conclusion that I should take it to a shop where they can hook it up to the computer and tell me what codes are going off, so it can be repaired accordingly.
A transmission from A-star automotive would cost me about $995, then I could do the replacement myself, what should I do?

Yeah this things is funny, it seems to do it in the morning, when I take a corner and go up hill. But, my tranny fluid is topped off. Figure that out.
