Faced with a continuing plunge in pickup truck and sport utility vehicle sales, Ford Motor Co. on Friday tried to deal with the mess by delaying production of the new F-150 pickup truck and announcing further factory cuts................

In another shortsighted move by ford the 2009 ranger is the last one coming out of the st paul plant. It has a possible return in 2012. An f-100 midsize was due around 2010. Whatever manufacturer comes up with a good small truck with good mileage will kill the competition.
