Ok so I'm going to see my blacksmith today and take proper measurement's for my custom skid plate. This is generally where it will go just to give an idea.

So far I'm going with Black Diamond Plate with one of these cut outs done by a computerized torch small details aren't going to be an issue. I might add a silver diamond plate at the Back to make the cut out stand out not sure about that yet.

Anyways, Please vote, would like others opinions. Multiple choice poll If you really like more than one select more but you can only submit once :)

Option 1

My Built Ford Tough is based on the actual Ford Logo style, it has nothing to do with the site .ca or .com just my preference, I think I'm good to go as long as don't start selling it.http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm81/Bush_aholic/BuiltFordToughogo.jpg

If you mean my examples are not to scale It's because I never really bothered trying yet, once we have the correct dimensions for the plate we will do the design on the computer programed for the cutter

I'm letting him do all the measurements and scales because he's really good, he does this as a hobby he's a plane engineer during the day. I will just be there to say if I like it or not, and to drink beer :)

i was busting balls because we are imperial ie. centimeter/kilometer/
and you used feet and inches which are system is not based.

But it aint funny if i gotta explain it. lol

Blair don't you mean you're bustin him for using Imperial when we are Metric. A lot of us remember then switch over, I was taught Imperial in grade 2 and Metric after that.

How much is this gonna end up costing you?

I need skid plates for my ranger (front, t-case and fuel) but ford wants like $400.00 for the thin tin ones they make....

Well I can defiantly tell you you it won't cost me even near 400$ but no price has been discussed yet.

I don't know how much shipping to BC would be?

What ever the sheet of diamond plate costs will be the most expensive part.

I figured that was probably the case. Now that I think about it, a skid plate doesn't involve much more cutting, bending and drilling and I know a shop that can cut for me no charge so I should buy some plate steel and do it myself.

I'm sure shipping to BC would be ridiculous.....
