So yeah I've had this truck since 2001 and it's been awesome even with performance mods.
I finally blew the motor with 200,000km on it about 1.5 months ago and since then I have been piecing together a monster. I've had a procharger on the motor since about 100,000km.
Anyways the new motor came out of a mustang. It has been stroked to 5.0 and has a fully forged bottom end (crank, pistons, rods). It also has a comp cams xe270ah in it. The motor is going in on friday.
Here are some pics so far, I will update on the weekend when I put the motor in.
Here is the truck in its current form. It needs some bodywork but holding up well for being 10 years old.

Very Nice,
Do you have to do any frame work to get it in

No it's a direct swap and I'm using the truck manifolds t-body, wiring harness and computer.... so everything is plug and play. I think all of the sensors match up perfectly as well as do the accessories.
I also had a base tune made so it will run.

Very Nice
Plug and play :)
Who will be doing your custom tune?

I have a guy in texas who does my mail order tunes but I will have to get the truck to a dyno to get it spot on with this setup. Not sure who I will go with locally....

Let me know who you will be seeing in GTA or Milton, and your experience with them
Nice! it sounds like you have under control, did you do a lot of research yourself to figure out your plug and play options? how did you figure out the mount line up? I'm always looking at different engines but I don't want the frame work to make it fit.
Will you be using the Procharger on this one too? Will it bolt up to that front cover? Do you need to transfer the truck oil pan onto the new motor?

stock motor mounts will fit. The procharger plate bolts up and I'll find out about the oil pan and pickup tube during the swap, not too sure about that one but I think because I'm not 4x4 that I can use the mustang oil pan. I'll be running lots of boost on this motor.

That will be one sick truck, looks good too. keep us updated on the engine swap I would be interested in knowing how that motor fit's and line's up I got 256 000km on mine now.
What year and size is the mustang motor? Was it a 5.4 or 4.6 in there before?
Colin

Stock motor in the truck was a 4.6.
The motor going in came out of a 2000 Mustang GT and was a 4.6 (Now a 5.0).
I picked up a new flexplate last night. I need it because the stock motor is a Romeo (6 bolt crank) and the mustang motor is a windsor (8 bolt crank).
I will update on saturday.

So the swap turned into a nightmare pretty quick. Exhaust nuts would not come off and neither would the motor mounts so I had to wait and borrow an acetylene torch from my buddy on sunday.
- Oil pan from the mustang motor worked fine
- used the timing cover from the mustang, belt routing is a bit different and I had to relocate a black canister that has something to do with AC, not a big deal. Procharger bracket will bolt up to the mustang timing cover
- Had to drill the holes bigger on the ford racing 8 bolt flexplate i got because the bolts on the torque converter were too big.
- Broke a post on the starter because it was rotted so I soldered the connection on there (LOL). I will replace it soon anyway because it is 10 years old.
I currently have the AC to bolt up, everything from the intake manifold up to bolt up and then hookup all of the electrical and vacuum lines and she'll run.
