My dad's 99 F150 XLT 5.4. It was a extended cab flareside 4x4. It was quite possibly one of the nicest trucks I've ever seen.

The first ford truck i drove was a 67 f100 custom in the back of my uncles farm. Had to learn how to drive a stick somewheres. The first one i owned was a 82 F150 extended cab with a 351W. It leaked oil and burnt oil, but i only paid a dollar for it, and no matter what happened it kept on going. Spent a bit on some new tires and shocks on it and sold it for 800. I kinda miss that truck even in 30 below it started like nothing, just pump the gas twice and away she goes, and the heater could cook you supper lol.

I took off with my dad's old Econoline van (300 auto) at 2 yrs old and managed to drive it across the yard before they caught me, and later (5 yo) I put his Datsun 510 in the duck pond when I figured out all on my own (and unbenounced to everyone else) which pedals did what and what gear got it to to move it around hehehe. Thankfully the pond wasn't too big. The whoopin' I got from that even topped when I found my dad's screwdrivers and stripped all the chrome molding off the Datsun (3 yo), dropping everything in the grass as I went.
First Ford I was actually allowed to drive was my dad's '87 Ranger (longbox 2.9L 2wd auto) which I eventually bought from him for $500 when I turned 16, sold it in 2002. Drove it when it was brand new at 7 yrs old, then graduated to the old Datsun in which I was taught how to properly drive stick at 8 yrs old. I'm now on Ranger #3 in the 12 years I've had a licence, and only once for a brief bit I owned an 86 Toy 4x4 because I got it cheap from my uncle, otherwise its been all Rangers for me. And here's to hoping that Ford actually releases a new Canadian Market ranger with a decent turbo diesel and 4wd because that'll make #4 for me. LR

First for me was a 64 F100, then a 71 F100 that rusted at the rate of one square foot per week - just the cables holding the battery in - SURPRISE. Then a 1996 F1504x4, nice improvement. 2001 F150 Lightning, and now 2006 F250 4x4 PSD. Hmm makes me sound old - but I guess I am. Yeah, I'd go for a diesel Ranger too!

The first ford truck I drove was a 1967 ford 18 foot steel flat deck. 390 engine and no power steerin, 4 speed standard with a 2 speed axle. Used it to haul junk cars, It had gin poles and a power take off winch to pull up the junk cars. That was back in 1977-78.

For me it was a 88 ranger that I delivered autoparts in. I drove that poor truck almost 250,ooo km before it died. Then they were crazy enough to give me another and it was 5 speed. Boss asked drive a stick kid... SURE god I wish i was 18 again. Smacked that one up after checking out highschool chicks walking and not seeing the Kenworth stopped...
First Ford truck I drove was a buddy's 66 F100. Sweet truck. Wish I had it today that thing was mint. Matter of fact other than an older Bronco that would be my dream truck.

First one I drove was a '80's something F150 with the 300 inline six - steering was so sloppy I swear I could go a quarter turn in either direction and it would still run straight.
Thank god it wasn't mine.
First one I owned was my '98 F150 XL. Loved it, huge difference.

During this same time i bought and drove these i also had in my possesion a 93 eagle talon, and a car i really truly miss... my 87 xr7 cougar with a 5.0 302 , i sold it to a guy in niagara falls and its now a show car!

1979 Bronco, 351M block with a holley four barrel and intake, headers, 4:11 posi rear end on 33" A/T's on cast aluminum mag wheels, it was black on silver, with matching interior, factory dark tint on the glass canopy, factory roll bar, rear swing out spare, power glass, full carpet. I loved taking the top of of her, and never failed to rain.
I learned to drive in her and loved rolling into the high school in her, only I'm sure I must have ran my gas tab with my parents into the thousands, lol and that was at 39.9 cents, man she burned the fuel. It was the prefect weekend party, camping vehicle.
Worst memory with it was going full boar up this really muddy slope with her and at the crest of the hill the carb floats stuck and she starved for fuel until it stalled. I remember I thought for sure (fear) I was going to roll her heavy carcass over sliding backwards down that hill.
I wasn't always kind that poor truck but it was sure good to me. Had a lot o good times it, sad thing is all those years and I think I only have one picture of her.

My dad's old Econline van, mid-70s 300 I6 3 spd auto. He let me drive it at 3, sitting on his lap, and I still remember clear as a bell to this day everyone in the van screaming their heads off because apparently he wasn't paying much attention and I steered it into oncoming traffic.. Oops.
Bought my first truck/Ford from my dad at 16. It was a shat brown 1987 2wd Ford Ranger (#1 for me, I'm on #4 15 years later) and I beat the living piss out of that poor thing and it just kept coming back for more. Kinda like a retarded dog, it just never learned to give up. LR
