Strange noise from front end - opinions?

K, the truck has an extended warranty but I thought I'd ask here to see what y'all thought. Hppe this will be covered. If not, I will be calling FoMoCo with a serious b*tch session.

This started yesterday.
When accelerating I get a sound like a dragging chain or spun barrings from the front end.

On the side streets in the neighbourhood I tried dropping her into 4x4 at 30km/h and the sound stops.
Back to 2 wheel drive and the sound eventually returns.

Any thoughts?

Does it do it all the time or just when accelerating? If it's random it could just be gravel or something stuck in the brake/wheel assembly somewhere, that happens to me often on my 350. Good luck with it.

Nope not random. Only when accelerating. Let off the gas it goes away.
BUT while accelerating if I engage the 4x4 it stops. :icon_question:
Back to 2wd and eventually under acceleration it returns.
Noticed yesterday on the hwy. I thought it was the van that I passed as it just started but the sound stayed with me. Off the hwy definitely me.
