2000 F150 7700 4WD
I decided to change mine today while doing an oil change. What a pain! Getting it out was easy enough but it was a challenge getting the new one started. I finally got it by using my left hand over the top left of the diff and my right hand over top right to hold that stupid rubber thing out of the way. Had to go by feel because my head wouldn't stretch around enough to see the port. That was after spending 1/2 hour exhausting all other ways. I thought about removing the LF wheel but it didn't look like I would have been able to get my hand in that way.
Anyone else done one on a 4WD and if so how did it go?
