led dash light mod

i just ordered a bunch of blue led light to chance the color of my dash lights, going to try and do the window switches as well, should be pretty cool looking

I have changed the cluster light's in mine to green LED I like it looks great IMO

have u done research on this mod ,def looks nice,id loveto do it ,i think the green color on the buttons/guages are like a dye u need to use some kinda solvent to take the green off

When I did mine I just replaced the bulbs with green LED'S give's it a cleaner look I think. here's a couple pic's to give you an idea of how the mod look's

yeah i will be doing the heater controls as well, plus the cup holder, and the head light switch. i am trying to find some info on the window switches and the cruise control lights,

I used to have the cluster and heater controls done in blue, but I couldn't be bothered to go though the trouble of finding out how to change the power window and cruise control swicthes so I swapped it to green I also did the cup holder and the glove box light, I prefer it over the blue in my truck

well the window switches have to be taken apart, desoldered then resolder the new one in, having trouble get info on the steering wheel

got the dash lights and the cup holder and the heater contols done today, my other lights haven't showen up yet to do the window and the cruise,, my 194 and 74 bulbs are a slightly different color so i orders some different 194 to see if i can get it alittle closer to the same color

I commend you guys who would go to that extent to put led's everywhere. I need some pics before I consider this as well.

i ordered the bulbs off ebay, came from hong kong, super cheap though, the other bulbs i ordered should be here sometime this week, the lights for the window switches and cruise buttons showed the other day so thats good

i will try and get some pic, with these lights and when the new lights come in, been working to much lately just on my 24hr off right now back to nights so once days off come i will hopefully get around to it

some turned out alittle brighter than others, not to sure why but i am still happy. the resume button i might have to try and dim alittle, one guy said to put a black dot with a marker on it to help any other suggestions

great job. they all look alright to me. some have a little different brightness to them, but really, who's gonna look that closely. the only reason i seen it was because you mentioned it;) if it was me i'de leave them and enjoy the new mod.

the window stitches are brighter because i left the factory resistor in, i could have swapped it out and brought the brightness down a little but i kind of like, will take some time getting used to.

my lights in my truck are green now. but there clear bulbs. so its a green film so how can i change this to blue? get a new face for the dash or wht?

just change the lights to blue, thats all i did
