I have one. It believe its an AutoStart, came with the truck has a one-way and two-way remote. So far I'm satisfied with it. On my 2000 I had a Viper, it was amazing, it worked from anywhere anytime, I like it better than what I have now. The drawback to both is the AAA battery which hardly lasts a month.

I've got an older one installed in the exploder, I think it was a Jensen (?) works great when sleeping in the back of it winter camping. Can program it to start for 15 minutes every 2 hours. As previously stated, the batteries run out often though.

my dad has had the ford alarms/remotestart..just complete crap in my opinion.
always had problems, never worked properly. just shit
i had a viper 5900 on my old truck, the best 2-way out at the time in my opinion. started from anywhere, and 2way paging from anywhere was great.
the downside is retail price though. 600$ at that time, although i only paid 299 :D

I had them on my Harley Trucks (aftermarket) and liked them on cold mornings. Now that I live in a building with my Truck parked underground I don't need it as much anymore.

Ive got a prostart, it works fairly well, use it in summer too when it gets really hot out. just crank the ac when I turn it off and its nice and cold when you fire it up to go somewhere.
