I ride an 07 Yamaha Grizzly 700, love it more and more each ride. I'll see what I can dig up for pics..

One of my best rollovers, up by Coalmont, BC.. The only lone tree on that stretch of railbed, and it caught the quad.. I ended up tumbling about 100' down that embankment, almost into the river below.
http://www.atvphotos.ca/gallery2/d/7087-2/IMG_1063.JPG

Back on its wheels. 10 min to climb back up, 5 min to winch it back on its tires..http://www.atvphotos.ca/gallery2/d/7091-2/IMG_1064.JPG

Burning the oil out of the engine. No damage, bars and windshield a touch bent.
http://www.atvphotos.ca/gallery2/d/7094-2/IMG_1065.JPG

And I just realized, I have no recent pics of my quad whatsoever. Everyone else always takes the pics, and I never get copies.. LR

JEEZE, that box on the back was probably the only saving grace from that quad rolling over you, you should have a priest splash some holy water on that thing and bless it.

That box is also what dragged me over, being out on it for 4 days it weighed about 180 lbs in camping gear!! Completely serious too.. It actually has saved my bacon, it is tough enough to withstand the weight of the quad and between it and the windshield it staves off most the damage that would normally be sustained in a rollover.

However, that particular roll I was thrown very clear of the machine well before it would have hit me, it more would have been the tumbling quad later chasing me down the hill. It was a combination of too much speed, a tree across the trail, and the trail immediately went off camber. I touched the brakes to slow down and all I remember is muttering "oh sh!t, not again.." and landing face first about 20' down the embankment. All I suffered was a lot of scratches and heavy bruising, and some very sore joints from tumbling head over arse for 100' down a 50* embankment. I sh!t you not, all I remember about the tumble was watching shows of people doing the same thing and thinking, why don't they just spread out and slide to a stop? and then realizing that you're tumbling so hard and fast its impossible.. you're just along for the ride tumbling like a ragdoll... I finally caught a tree with my right arm which brought me to a screaming halt so quickly I'm amazed it didn't dislocate my arm, but merely left me with a badly bruised and literally indented right bicep!! The first thing I did was do a frantic look uphill half expecting to be run over by my quad, and it wasn't until I finally managed to climb back up that I realized the tree had caught it.

The most amazing thing was that the clasps held and nothing spilled out of the box or was damaged inside because it was packed so tightly, but when the oil leaked out of the engine it covered the gun boot and I had to clean the oil off of the .22. Two winch pulls and it was back on its tires and ready to rock again! Its amazing the damage they just shake off. LR
