View Full Version : 2008 SD 6.4l programmers
Hi, I am wondering what programmers, tuners you guys are running in your 6.4's ? What kind of milage your getting with them and Pro's and con's ?
I believe one of the site affiliates Power Hungry Performance is doing some tuning on the 6.4's. There are also some other places with dpf delete tunes, and i've heard of mileage going up into the area of 17-18 mpg....but this will void your warrenty

i am running a Bully Dog PMT, basically beenon the ruck since day one so i cant really comment on fuel economy, but i also didnt buy the truck for its "fantastic" mileage - i am also looking into a DPF delete - not for mileage - but because i can :)
arboc how do you like the bullydog PMT ? any issue's what tuner are you goin to get when delete the DPF ?
there are a few that do dpf deletes....KEM, Spartan...I beleive SCT is working on some custom things as well
SCT has there livewire availible for the 6.4L!

I bought the Hypertech Econ to help with fuel mileage. Picked up 2mpg in town. There are two settings. The high setting is great for power increase and no change in highway mileage. I get about 14 in town now on the low setting and about 17 on the highway. The low setting is great for around town. Hardly notice any difference in power(40 hp/ 70ft lbs) but the high setting you really notice the difference. 70Hp and 130 ft lbs torque.

the PMT is working great form me, as for the DPF delete - i am researching all my options right now, i will prob do the mod in the spring

i might be getting a 08 F250 if i get accepted so im lookin into the chips. whats these delete adn dpf and pmt stuff? just different programmers? and was wondering if theres a good place to check them out. like a web site or something. thanks!

Just google it it's everywhere but say goodbye to warranty, talk to Jim about a Edge programmer, I heard rumors that banks has one for the 08's now too it's just not on the their site yet
