Hello everyone, Just pick up my new 2008 F-250 Harley 6.4l last week and wow what a truck! Obviously you by a diesel to play with the power. What are the ramifications with the MTO on the DPF delete, I know your warranty would go out the window, but what about the little green men?

Welcome to FordTough.ca. If you were to ask me I would say there's so much you can do to the truck that would not void warranty. I would probably stick to those mods until the warranty runs out.

But for the question you asked I cannot answer much I know MTO wouldn't care in Northern Ontario we don't have emissions tests here :) yet!

Come post a pic of your new ride and look around on this thread, join in on the fun!!!!

There are a few tuners with Dpf delete tunes, and some guys are showing huge gains in mpg and HP with just some basic mods!

If I had a 6.4 the dpf would be the first thing to go

What mods can I do without voiding warranty?

not much.... no motor/tunes/exhaust/electrical (tapping factory harness)

bout all you can do is basic boltons.... tires (not extreme oversize) bug deflectors/tint stuff that wont effect the mechanical part of the truck or cause the body to rot within the (5 yrs???)

only time the MTO may get sticky on your truck is if they see you black stackin but OPP and regional cops can pull you over for this and make you wait for MTO to do there thing

MTO isnt normaly to bad there more concerned about saftey of vehicals then the emmisions not to say either MTO or OPP can make you go for an Etest when they want

Edge makes a tuner for the 6.4 just plug it in and put it back to stock and don't leave the tuner in the truck when you bring it in for work. up to 100hp gains on level 4. Maybe Power Hungry Performance makes a Gryphon with custom tunes too.

I would ask your dealer about exhaust and a CAI, maybe if they install it the warranty will stay good.

Talk to Blackstock they mod thier trucks under waranty I think.

I have an after DPF Magnaflow 5 inch exhaust. NO issues with the dealer. They told me as long as it attaches after the DPF filter, it's ok. One of my Diesel mags recently tested the 5 inch Magnaflow and state an improvement of 15HP and 15 Ft Lbs torque. Gets lots of looks with the 6 inch tip.
