how are all yalls? im gonna be getting an 08 F250 superduty and its gonna be my first diesel. im wondering what kind of upgrades are normally done adn what are some good ways to go about doing it. so far im seeing that a programmer and air intake are pretty much a good start. trying to see if ill be able to get her up to about 500hp and 1000tq when im done in a few years. thanks for the help!
Just to give you fare warning, you can easily achieve that HP level with a few things that are on the market now, basically with a tune, new injector nozzles and dpf delete you'll be at 500+
But doing so will void any and every bit of warranty on it!

That's cool! I'm sure you will love it. You might want to make sure your careful with your warranty at least for the first couple years......but ya you will be able to unleash the ponies out of that diesel, did you get to take one for a test drive yet, FX6 or stock tester? Those dual turbos are nice!!!!

i'd suggest driving it for at least 10,000km so you can get used to the truck and figure out where you want to make the mods, because most mods will affect your warranty to some extent(depends on the dealers interpetation of warranty standards)you may like it as it is!

thanks for the info fellas. i think ill hold off then for the mods that void warrenties untill later on and thats pretty sweet that you can get that kind of power. wonder how much all that stuff costs lol. whats a dps delete? as far as getting the truck im hopin ill find out today the suspence has been killing me for the last few days lol. figure they sent the stuff out thursday and hopin its in today, but if not theres always tomorrow. just hopin that they find out today so i can pick it up on my next days off in a week cus it takes about 3 to 5 days to install the mods they said.

well i got the truck but without the mods. couldnt afford the truck with the upgrades cus they needed 9000 down but without the FX6 package they only needed 3000 so i can manage that and just get te FX6 or maybe if i have enough by the spring ill go for the FX8 package lol

Cool stuff.....enjoy:)
Renault you might want to consider Spartan Diesel tuner and a DPF delete pipe these guys are breaking the 500HP with just a tuner and delete pipe. Very impressive numbers just google spartan diesel. I think once I get a few more KMs on my truck this is what I will be adding. Ohh there tuner is supposed to be hard for the dealers to see it was used.

Best truck Ford has produced so far. But the worst for mileage.
Good luck with the buy.
