nice truck! but if your gonna offroad your gonna get mud in your rotors and it wont be so pretty...your brakes are gonna suck.

ummm.. disc brakes are the best for mud/ water.. i converted my offroad truck too rear disc..i am a NWMRA member ( northwest mud racing association)... and have never seen anyone run drums. so ur tellin me that ur rear drums actually nwork after a day of mud and water?.. mine sure didnt..and the rotors and stainless lines made a HUGE dif in stopping power.. when i drive a stock one now i notice it big time ( i work for a ford dealer)

All brakes lose effectiveness when put thru the wringer. I am guessing that the discs are easier to rinse out.

exactly... they dont hold the muck like drums.. ud be surprised how well discs hold after runnin thru 4 ft of water.. drums.. forget about it....

ok.. my freakin cowl cover should be in today... i'll post pics...doin chrome door handles today also but i think they stick out too much so i am only gonna use half the kit. im only gonna put the chrome on the part you pull not the part that stays stationary..and again i'll post pics.. ( if i like it)

did a complete 3 stage clean, polish ,seal yesterday.. wow what a dif. got rid of the BC pinstriping...( scratches from the bushes)

k. ... well after 30,000 km my bassani muffler packed it in. it ripped where the pipe goes in. the truck is at the muffler shop today gettin a super 40 series flowmaster in. i'll post up a sound clip when i get it back.. should be waaaayy louder...

i agree....the fault is in the design... flowmaster's flange for the pipe is exterior of the muffler..bassini is interior of muffler= bad. the muffler tore right up from the pipe inlet....wonder if the wife will notice?:))

k.. the mods continue. not hapyp with my saggy bum so i ordered a 2 1/4" shim kit and a 1 1/2" add aleaf kit.. parts are here today.. i'll take pics..

what i wanna try next is adding the 2" leveling kit on top of my lift for the front cauze i want 37's as my 35's are just about done...

i NEVER run shock boots.... they trap dirt and water in and hold it against the sealcazuing premature failure of the shock. id suggets everyone too run a bootless shock.. i never put thenm on customers trucks either...

37" should fill it up good Eh on rear ???? but lookin at the pic your front tires fill the wheel wells right now, You might have to carve your lower plastic Vailiance, that should help but door side looks really tight thinking you will rub with minumum flex you got 18" rims on now Don't you ???????, why not 35" with 20's thinking that will work you gain 2" rather then 4" of rim an tire unless you run wheel adapters ???? or buy offset rims but i think you will rub

But hey looks good nothing like having a lift i just hate body lifts cheap mans way to lift
and persnally think they should be outlawed

2insane.. as posted earlier... the front hasnt been lifted the 2" yet. after i do that ( if i can) i will have too trim the fornt plastic valance and the rear lower part of the flare... id rahter keep the 18" rim size as i use this truck and am after more sidewall so i can air down more.im leanin towards the new bfg's.

and i absolutly refuse too put a body lift in any of my trucks.

ive thought about that but damn man there is no room between my caliper and the rim and the lower ball joint and the rim right now and i take this truck offroad and want some clearance between these items ...and ive done a ton of 17's for customers.. too small of a rim for the f150 IMO.


i am now second geussing my choice on a 37" tire.... thats alot of tire for a half ton truck with ball joints ( i HATE ball joints). so i might stay with the 35. besides i think id have too at least supercharge it too experience the same acceleration i have now.. which is chipped intaked, ehaust super duty ass kickin...:icon_biggrin:


ok ok.. maybe not kick em but i do take em...much too their displeasure...

Dude i want my truck to look like that lol. i have a very similar truck just flare side. i want to get a cd player like yours. mine has the 6 disk cd changer option though does that matter? and bout how much did you spend in total to get your truck to the way it is if you dont mind me askin. thanks man and nice ride.
