good reason why not to buy rentals... lol buddy rented this truck to check it out he's in the market for a truck its only got the 5.4 but it still hauls ass believe it or not
anyways he wanted to check the 4x4 out and he's been through this same spot with a 2wd 97 f150 with no problems so he figured the truck would go no prob he was wrong it sunk like a rock (like most chebbies) from trying to get out he blew 3 tires (nocked the valve stems off) pullng it out caved the lower driverside boxside in, broke the exhaust on the downpipe before the cats, tailgates dented from a broken chain and water was up to the bottoms of the seats....1 6000lb winch with snatch block (12000lb) was bought wouldnt move it called in a 70's blazer on 35's a poorly placed fuel filter ended its day early it caught fire and burnt up the engine bay melted the grill (a mess) so a 95/96 ford f350 diesel on 44's was called he got him out but it took a whole bunch of pullin.. they got stuck at 3pmish and didnt get yanked out till 11pm haha

anyways he wanted to check the 4x4 out and he's been through this same spot with a 2wd 97 f150 with no problems
I had to re-read this thread. He went thru THAT with a 2wd 97 F150?? When during the dry season? If he drove a 2wd 97 F150 thru that I'd love to see a vid of it cuz unless he's on crack or he's got the only F150 in the world that floats on water I'd say no wayyyyy. :icon_lol:
I wouldn't try that in my truck, not even on a bet.

Many years ago, a friend of mine returned his rental car with a small scratch on the front bumper, "no problem" said the rental guy. The only problem was, the front bumper was in the trunk... not his fault, but it sure came off clean.
