The old superduty has been feeling neglected lately with all the attention and money the stang has been getting. So I treated it to a Icon Vechicle Dynamics 6" all spring lift, 4.88 gears and 38x15.5 Supers Swamper SSR's on 16x12 Mickey Thompson Classic lock rims

its funny its the same kind of day as the before pic...but i will try to get some better pics posted soon

monster in the making...;) looks really good. gonna put flares on it? what kinda revs coming out of it with the 38's and 4.88's?

i picked those gears because 4.88 with 38 inch tires are the same as 4.10 with 32 inch tires ( what the truck came with from ford). So my speedo is correct..I rev around 2100 at 100km/h on the Hiway
If i get hasseled by the cops about the tires sticking out i will get flares, but i spent enough on it for now...maybe get cut-out flares in the spring

Very nice!!!!!! Looks nice and mean, I never put flairs on my truck extremely hard to keep clean and the odd rocks hit the side but it don't bother me much:)

Truck looks great big and mean, glad to see another lifted super duty out there.Can you notice a power loss from the 35" to 38" tires? Next mod you will need is the http://www.dynatrac.com/products_freespin_ford.html I know how much you take your truck off road and with those big wide tires your factory hubs will not last too long,I have the kit and it is worth the money i paid for it.I know It takes time to do all these mods because they are very pricey.My truck with the 7.3 diesel and 3.73 gears with 37" toyo M/T at 100 km I rev around 1570 rpm.Even with 3.73 gears I can still leave two nice black marks on pavement with out foot on brake pedal.

Ya..i can feel the difference between 35s and 38s. Its not too bad with the gears though. I haven't mashed on it too hard yet..trying to break the gears in easy. 35s with 4.88s are amazing though..:icon_lol:

Truck looks great. The main thing they will go after you for will be mudflaps. And they will definitely go after you for that.
I've never had anyone say anything bout Mud Flaps to me, I put flares on just to help save my paint

Gawd I'd love to put a lift in my new truck but after selling my lifted 02 last year against my wifes wishes I'd be a dead man if I brought it up.

Yeah mine had a 6 inch DR with 37 inch tires and a 12000 Warn with the Transformer Brush Guard system. My 08 has the same winch system but no lift. I'd post pics but this is a new computer and my daughter has all my pics saved on an external harddrive. Just gotta get them back.
