Which GEARS

I just ordered F150 SC with the 5.4 V8 3.55 gears. I will be towing a trailer 4500lbs max weight on long trips. I plan on puting bigger tires 305 55 20 Magnaflow exhaust and intake. May question is are the 3.55 gears fine or should I opt for the 3.73 gears. I would like to keep my mpg . Are the 3.55 a good choice. Thanks for your imput:icon_razz::icon_biggrin::icon_cool:

Did you order the Max trailer tow package? Got the 3.73 limited slip with the 5.4L on my 09 FX4.... Did a trip last week and got 24 mpg.

No I didn t order max trailer tow, did not think it was needed. I just did not want to be towing this trailer and not have enough power to pull up hill without having to do. it with my foot to the floor I plan on keeping this truck 4-5 years and I drive alot of kms.
