Well finally got the time to get her in. No gap guards on her yet but I'm in no special rush to add any finishing touches :) Overall I'm happy with the look:icon_twisted:

:icon_idea:I took it to the pressure wash before we brought the truck in the garage and the garage is right beside the wash bay's. That pic was taken half a kilometer from the garage, the first nice spot I could find just so she would still be a little clean:icon_lol:

FordWheeler

No plans for bigger tires yet maybe in the future but I already have 2 set's of big tires 315's & 35's and I'm still running on stock gears(for now). I have a few things to look after before anymore major mods but next major one on the list is 4:56 gears...unless the motor were to go before that, but she's still running strong.

Got my gap guard hardware in today.

4' X 10' of thickest EPDM pond liner I could find it's 4.5mm thick
box of 50 plastic retainer clips
total cost is about 45$ and I will have lots of liner left

I got 10 times more pond liner then I need because it very useful stuff but a PITA to buy unless you want crappy PVC liner from Canadian tire or Home Depot at triple the price....lol

Just gotta wait for a nice day now :)

Did you do a motor lift as well?

Bush_aholic
12-20-2008, 07:48 PM
Did you do a motor lift as well?

Nope the motor is 3 inches more inside compared to the cab, just needed to make adjustment to fan shroud and make sure any lines and wires can make the stretch. Makes a big difference when trying to check the oil, I have to climb up on my tire to even see down the engine bay...lol

Do ya have any leftover gap filler? cause from what i understood you bought a wack that you dont need? lol i dont know

Bush_aholic
12-20-2008, 08:34 PM
I did buy a whack but plan on using it for all kinds of stuff.

This is where I got it from(Canadian site) I think you need a credit card and you need to call to place your order because it is winter and most of their supply is in the yard buried under snow. Very good prices though. They had a chunk that suited my needs inside the warehouse. About 15$ for a chunk of 5x5 to give you an idea.

12-22-2008, 12:36 AM
truck looks really good, if you plan on going to 37s or 38 in the future i wouldn't even bother with 4.56 gears, i would go with 4.88, i have 4.56 and its great with the 35" tires, but i think it would be a bit sluggish if i went any bigger

one other thing you will find is that changing the plugs is easier now, the BL open the engine bay up a bit
