I see that some Toronto Dealers are advertising 09 F150's at nearly 30% off MSRP in local newspapers. Just wondering if anyone has checked these out with a visit to the dealer. Here are some examples-

Dec 11 - Toronto Sun
Yonge Steeles advertised an 09 FX4 SCREW w/ luxury pkg for 33,988 (+ frt/lic & admin) - this truck is on the ford inventory w/ MSRP of 48,599 , as well as an 09 4x4 XTR SCREW for 27,988 (MSRP is 41,099)

Nov 8 - Toronto Star
Markville- 09 Lariat SCREW4x4 39,989

Looked at an amazing deal on a Platinum last week... All they wanted was $1300 and my first born for 60 months! I don't know how I didn't sign on the dotted line with an offer like that.

Make sure to read the fine print. Some of these offers are actually for a lease that is paid upfront, making it sound like a good deal. I was at Markville Ford a few weeks ago and they had a loaded Lincoln MKS on the lot with a sign in the window stating $46,000 k. This car has an MSRP of $56+- and I know there are 0 incentives on them. Check Ford.ca and you will see that the new F150 only have low interest incentives

There may be dealer dollars from Ford for them to sell it at that price but I doubt it.

imo, the first year of a new generation is usually shit.
I'd wait till your up with the white chocolate, next year iirc? Not only will the updated versions be out, but theyll be a helluva lot cheaper

I hear yah on that but I am starting to think that with my buy out being so cheap and my kms being low on this one I have that I might by pass this generation F150 and build the one I have to my specs instead of starting all over again next year with a new one.
I have got I pretty good list of projects "mods" that I am going to be doing this winter to the truck so I can't see apon completion handing it back over and starting again.
Thinking maybe 2013 or next re-design for my next one...

^^^ I read in Motortrend (Jan/09) that Dodge and Ford are likely going to wait as much as 8 years for a redesign. Slumping sales of p/u's as personal vehicles is the reason given.

We stock 09's 2wd at "Blackstock Ford" We can also look at all the lease returns throughout Ontario and tell you what 2wd's are coming in back off of lease if you prefer a used truck. Feel free to call me at work any time if you wish to talk about this further.

Randy, do you have any info on the discount pricing that I quoted in the beginning thread? These prices seem too good to be true

Hey Tax, there are alot more to these ads than the public will know. It is easier to explain over the phone, but for a small example they will make up on the price by HUGE FEE'S added to it.

Well getting that much off does sound to good to be true,I got $10 grand off a 2009 lariat supercrew I ordered.I got it for invoice, minus 1000 cash incentive plus 1000 loyalty bonus. Plus 0% for 60 months doesn't hurt either.

Traxis

Sounds like a nice price for the Lariat. I see that several Ontario Ford dealer websites are now (just found them last night) quoting various Delivery Allowances expiring Mar31, 2009 , including $5000 on the 2009 F150.
Here is an example :
http://www.summitford.com/en/info/promos/dma.spy

I am going to wait & see what the Federal Budget brings later this month - there are hints that we will get a GST reduction/ rebate on new vehicles. The OADA is also pushing for a PST rebate in Ontario - a aggreagate saving of 13% tax + delivery/cash/loyalty allowances would definately encourage sales.

Just checked the Ford build and price site ,I am a little shocked that they actually increased the price on the Lariats,Fx4s by about $500 bucks, you think they would be going the other way.

I just heard that they raised the finance rate to 7.99% but increased the rebates to 6000. Anyone else hear this? I also noticed they raised the MSRP on the FX4 by another 500.

First off, welcome to Fordtough.

Ford like to play the game of rebate vs. Interest rate. Nothing new. Depending on how long a loan you need the rebate and interest can work out to the same. In the end you are still paying the same for the Truck.

Yeah, if I was able to work out a deal on an 09 I'd jump.

If only I did not owe anything on my existing FX4, I'd be talking trade on an 09 FX4.

But that is me.

I just did a Build & Price and it shows the Rate as 7.99% and a rebate of
$6000.

Not a price that would make me buy one

i heard it on the radio yesterday, it was just the one dealership though (we have 5) that was offering the 0%. so im guessing it's not something ford is doing

It was 0% FOR 60 months-1.99% for 72 months. Now it is six thousand back and 7.99%.

We can also get you a 5.99% variable rate. Also at "Blackstock ford" we would give the guys on these boards far more than just the 6k D/A that ford offers you.

Dealer invoice plus 6k factory rebate looks pretty attractive if you have a line of credit. I was ready to buy with the 0 precent financing and pay off the truck over the five years. Now I will have to pay it of quicker.

Was sitting at the 5th wheel in Milton the other night ,reading the Toronto Sun, the1st page I read is the second from the back , then go thru the rest of it. Saw numerous adds from area dealers advertising 09 F150's ,reg.cab,2wd,ect.ect.ect, in the nieghbourhood of 16000 dollars, 0% financing, Was unable to read the fine print though( no glasses with me). I bought my 04 for 24500+, extended warranty, life ins., taxes .
2pmts. left, just unsure f I want to do anouther 5 years of pmts.,since I just bought a new Focus for my wife last fall. Just wondering what my 04 would actually be worth on a trade-in. good shape but high mileage(159000kms)

I think you are high with that trade-in number. I have an 06 Lariat with 95K and they were going to give me 16.5K for a trade-in. I would have to venture the trade-in for an 04 would be 10 to 12K

The "Black Book" value of your truck is listed at $4565 Wholesale - $5775 to $7050 Retail. I got around $11000.00 off of the MSRP on a 09 150 XLT 5.4 SCrew wwith XTR package without a trade in. Be sure to set the purchase price first and then knock it down with your trade.

My dealer is getting me 5.49% variable rate through TD. I'd much prefer factory financing at a lower rate but then I'm sure Ford would not be offering $8k off.

If interest rates start to rise to much then I'll have to juggle things around and pay off the car loan with my secured line of credit.

I'm still hoping that by delivery time there is a better interest rate that Ford is offering.
