View Full Version : idiot lights...never happened before

...all I did was top up the brake fluid in the master cylinder...an ounce or two...and went to take off and the ABS and brake lights in the dash (the idiot lights) would not go off...the brake light eventually went off after a mile but I stopped, disconnected a sensor wiring connector of some kind that hooks up to the front of the master cylinder, and reconnected it, and the lights went off, when I started up the truck....this sensor is new on my '94 versus my '92 that I had for many years...I take it this must be needed? (reconnecting the sensor link)

Bill:the sensor you are talking about is the brake press sensor for deactivating cruise,have you had the cruise control jumper wire installed on your truck?it was a recall(you can tell if its been done it will have a harness attached with a inline fuse holder):)
