That was last year when the truck was stock with 35s. I am thinking about changing the color next year so it will eventually match

That's a nice hole...Gives you an idea why the tell you to put a blanket on winch cables if that's what happens with nylon tow rope....lol

Is the yellow tailgate off of an Amarillo Super Duty ? :)

Did you have a shackle joining 2 straps?! I hope not!

Just having a yellow tailgate is nothing, you're lucky to be alive!

Damn.. I've seen it happen lots and have had that happen to me once. A guy in a Chev 350 powered Toy got a little too ambitious pulling me out, cost him a tailgate. A second time was when a rear tow point on a Mazda failed as I was pulling him out backwards, I got to watch a 3/4" shackle do a 10 point arch straight up and over my truck, following the radius of the strap! I didn't breathe until it thudded on the ground behind me. Its not fun watching a solid chunk of steel arch straight up over your windshield. LR

Ouch... That hurts!!

I've seen it happen a few times, including twice while trying to pull me out. Once, I had a strap hit my windshield!!!

And that's why I carry a 6" wide strap now!!! Only use it for HARD pulling, otherwise it has no give to it and feels like pulling with a chain!! HAHA!!!

Damn bud you and the guy in the jeep are seriously lucky. What were the straps rated at? I don't think I've seen somone join that many straps to make one large one. Oh and how did you get out of the hole?:)

wow thats a long ass strap, could have easily been the rear window, same price but harder to swap!consider yourself lucky i guess.
