ladies, gentlemen, boys, girls, (and other)...

this is a brand new to me 7.3 diesel auto. i've had a few f series trucks over the years as company vehicles, but this one is from my wallet and can be modified! i also have a desire to make sure it lasts for some time so my questions are:

1) - is there a good obd cable with software to download trouble codes and update ecu/on board diagnostics. not performance related, just keeping the flashing dash lights in check!

2) - currently i have the factory 16" wheels at stock height. is there a "common" tire and suspension lift that does not require steering shaft, drive shaft, or major suspension additions? i would like a little more ground clearance and some more aggressive tires (without sacrificing load carrying). cost is a consideration, but i prefer quality over $!!!

thanks in advance.

For trouble codes and data logging take a looks at this http://www.autoenginuity.com/

By the sounds of it you don't want much lift so a leveling kit is all you need which will bring the front up about 2 inches and leave the back stock. With that you should be able to squeeze a set of 35's
