I have a 94 f150 with a I-6 and my transmission is gone. I have a really good deal on a tranny from a 2000 4.6L. Is the tranny off the 4.6L an E40D? will it mount on my I-6?

only tranny's you can use are ones from the I6, 5.0, 351. Bolt patterns match. Otherwise you gotta change bellhousings

the trans in an 00 4.6l was an 4r70w,and is not the same bell housing config as the older I6/5.0/5.8l eng,what is wrong with the old trans?the e4od isn't that bad to rebuild and a reman isn't to badly priced.:)

about $2000 to rebuild one here
