Hey all, I just wanted to let all those with a 1/2 ton short box know that you can now set up for 5th wheel towing safely. Two biggest problems with a 5-1/2ft box is ..........
hitting the cab while turning &
using a slider, having the weight behind the rear axle thus reducing the weight on the front wheels (cant turn well) and the weight you can pull.
Here is a product that works with a cam system. It keeps the weight in front of the rear axel where it should be, and as you turn it slides the the trailer back so it does not hit the cab then as you straighten up it bring it back. Here is a link to this
