well, prior to buying the 09 I was seeing a lot of adds about how it tows a trailer.. well after this past week of luggin about my enclosed sled trailer, let me say the add does not lie.
I yanked that trailer around with a dodge for 2 years and I felt it all the time. Pulled it around with the ford this past week and had to keep looking back to see it was there. :icon_biggrin::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_eek:

i havent seen many of the new ford truck commercials but toyota seems to be on a big push thats all thats on tv it seems... id like to see if there adds are true about there towing... i doubt it

I have seen the new Tundras under load and there ass ends sag down big time.
I have towed my buddys 20ft Lund Pro V with my Lariat and it sits easly 3 inchs higher under load than his Tundra.
Even he commented on how much nicer the F150 was for towing than his Tundra. I just wish he would have listened to me when he was in the buying stage but he got talked into the Tundra by the salesman who told him how much faster the Tundra was than the F150:icon_rolleyes:.

the way i think.. if you want "fast" buy a mustang or something. trucks aren't supposed to be known for being fast. the tundra being faster wouldn't be much of a selling feature for me. i guess some people just live thier life on the dark side haha. it does make me feel good to know though that listening to some guys at work who have sierra's saying how nice the new f-150 is and how much they dislike thier truck and want a new f-150, but like your buddy is stuck with the payments. glad i got it right from the start

actually a lot of "Lincoln" owners buy them. I know guys that have driven Lincoln town car's, LS's, Mark Vlll's, etc. and then decided they wanted a truck.......so they buy the Lincoln truck - LOL

Well I love mine and got it for $8000 off. Plus you get an extra year of warranty which includes a lot more then the Ford one.
Looks damm sexy to me :icon_biggrin:

Yeah, it's true that having "Lincoln' wrote on the ashtray is a lot nicer than a Lariat interior... :icon_rolleyes:
But the LT were so nice from the exterior... Just sad it had a Lariat interior :icon_neutral:

Actually it has part of the Lariat Interior.
A few things are different:
The seat design
The leather used for the seats
The Gauge cluster
Not a huge difference. I aggree they could have done a lot more.
The new Platinum is kind of the same deal. And it costs anywhere from $5000 to $10,000 more then a Lariat. Best way to get one is wait for a deal or buy used. The $8000 I got off the price and the 1.9% rate made my Truck cheaper than a Lariat at the time.

I actually really like the look of the LT interiors. I think the pipeing on the leather
really looks nice, but I have to imagine that colour of leather is quite hard to keep clean.

The Driver seat shows some wear, not terrible, but it shows. The passenger in back seats look like new since I do not have a lot of passengers. I must say though that I do not eat in my Truck and seldom drink coffee while driving.
I would not recommed that colour to someone with kids :icon_biggrin:
I would have prefered a black interior but it was not available for the 06 model year.
