my wife and I are looking at an 09 escape xlt v6 awd. I've heard mostly good things about them...but some bad from a friend. His wife said their 09 fleet escapes are having starter failures already. Anyone else with some input?

we have had some 08's with the the trans pump bushing going out in cold weather(-30)from cold driving(best to plug it in and warm up before driving)

Heard about a drive train problem on acceleration from a stop, like a "grinding hoot noise" any word on this problem? Shelby you hear anything about this?

could the pump bushing in the trans,any shift concerns?

According to another site a lot of 09 AWD Escapes have this noise. One post said ford found the problem and was the chain in the rear drive.
