Any ideas what can cause the "service engine soon" light to come on?
It happened in last weeks blizzard condition driving.

Just taking a stupid wild ass guess, if it happened in heavy snow, my bet is the air intake was restricted with snow.

mine came on in my 2000 f150 7700 and we got the codes scanned and ford says there's no ways they can fix it

??? what codes were in the pcm?the check eng lamp comes on when the pcm detects a failier that is emmision damaging or will exceed emmision thresholds,thus must be repairable.

He lives in saskabush therefore no mechanic has any teeth or brains, just kidding ...most of my family is from there, take it to a qualified dealer that knows their ass from their armpit. Everything can be fixed!!:H)
