i don't know alot about these but do they just replace your stock ones and give the lift they say w/o cranking in the bolt? and if so can you then crank in the bolt to get a little bit more? I just tried to lvl my truck by crankin in the bolts and the front didn't even get close to being lvl with the back. So any info or .02 you wanna throw my way would be much appreciated :)

They put too much preload on your CV's and ball joints

I have heard nothing but bad things about torsion keys, I managed to get a 2.5" lift in the front with the crank

well the 09 ranger seems to not at full crank go as high as my 98 did. I have them cranked to the max and the angle on the cv's is not bad at all and i'm still 1.5" lower then in the back.

Well I would imagine my 08 and your 09 should be about the same with the torsion bars... Have you tried going higher or does it just lock?

The keys allow you to put too much preload on the torsion bars and will cause a lot of wear on your front end parts.

does cranking on the factory keys cause any issues with warranty? or problems with the front end?

If you want some more lift get some torsion keys from a pre-06 ranger. ford lowered the truck by about an inch after 06. And yes it will cause problems with the front end it will cause wear to have the keys in that far, and you should definetly get an alingment after cranking the keys.

Very true ^. I got some 06 keys in mine maxed out with 265's and the top of the front wheel well is at 36". Managed to get about 3.5-4" of lift by doing so

I heard the stock keys not reccomended to crank so much or screw up front end. Was told to just get the aftermarket keys that are manufactured for cranking purpose. Better degree key and stronger.

My understanding with these lift keys is that they preload the torsion bar. So basically you are paying to accomplish what you could with cranking the keys. I definetely would not turn in the bolts any at all if I were to put in preloaded keys. That would put a lot of stress on the front end. If your truck never sees anything off road it might not really damage things. just remeber to get an alingment after playing with the keys.
