MOD: The mod I did is called the zoodad mod.. A popular one for the 6.0
The panel above the temp sensor was solid. I took a large hole cutting bit and drilled two holes. Once that was done I cleaned it up with the dremel. The intake sits behind the hole. Now it can bring in cool outsdide air instead of warm air from under the hood

I have a question on the "zoodad" mod before I cast my vote - other than drilling the hole in the support section, was there additional modifications required to the intake to benefit from this?

No additional modifications required. The only reason for the mod is to get more cooler air into the intake. At some point I will add a screen to keep some of the bugs off the front of the filter. Best of all it is a free mod.
