Oh, it's oil, its all over the road in front of my house. Hey Clayton, go to CTC get some good degreaser a lot of rags and I'll give you a wire brush. Get under the truck and clean everything around the pan, then wait for it to leak so you can see where its coming from. And don't make your old man do it.

haha someones getting owned lol

could be rear main seal... if its a slow enough leak might not notice it on the dipstick....

could be a few things....oil travels to the back of the vehicle with the wind...my '94 had bad intake gaskets and also the timing chain cover leaked..yep, expensive to fix...when I first took it in we had oil from nose to tail from the leaks...oddly, the valve cover gaskets were dry...lol

pressure wash the undercarriage, they have guns that reach under there, its pretty hard to tell where its coming from when its all over the place. My dads old 79 used to pour oil when he stopped to get gas...you could see the leakage on the highway from when he started slowing down about 100 yds worth. the wind would drive it back and up, it would puddle or pool somewhere, perhaps in the transmission bell housing.
I had an 89 that I pulled the motor and replaced the rear seal, it still leaked, just not from the rear seal hehehe.
I have a theory OLD FORDS all leak, thats why they run so long, you are constantly adding fresh oil! keep it up and it will last you 1 000 000 K.

they can add a dye to help identify the source

maybe the intake manifold gasket... I did not even know mine was leaking....thought it was just the timing chain cover...if it is the intake, it is an expensive repair.

intake gaskets are an easy do it yourself job as long as you have patience
