its a body swap from a 94 Fl50 5L AT 2wd, to a 90 F250 4x4 5.8L 5spd
damn the more i think about it the more work it seems to be.
thinking of the speedo, its digital in the 94, the ships computer, one is a standard, and a 4X4. changing or modding the steering column lever is simple enough.
hope the plugs match up and I can swap back the CPUs.

both ECU plugs are OBDI 60 pin so they should match up

its doable.... i looked at buying a truck once listed as a 93 to find out it was really a 90 all the guy did was change the front clip everything lined up except the cowel between the hood and cab was where i noticed it from the outside the inside was still the older 90 style gauges/dash

ive been hearing that the DMV does not like cab changeovers. I figure they are my trucks and I can, within reason do what I want with them. I am going to call on it, anyone have any similar concerns or experiences out there?

if you do it you're gonna have some decisions to make regarding the wiring setup for your engine

yeah some plugs are different. just going to use as much as i can of the new. doing the 94 teardown now, getting familiar with them both. cleaning up the frame and chassis checking for serious problems, so far it looks pretty good. going to take more pics and post in the album soon. been going at it til dark back and forth.

the 94 uses the 351 firing order and is sequential fire and the 90 uses the old 302 order and is batch fire

OK got it stripped down to the chassis. Got the 3 inch body lift coming tomorrow. Lots of ripping down of the new body yet to go but tryin not to make a big mess of the project. its hard when tools are scattered between here and there.
