i went from an '02 Explorer Eddie Bauer to the FX4 and my insurance went up $100 a year. That is in Grey Bruce where insurance rates are cheaper than most areas

When i went from my 05 XL to my now 08 XLT...mine went up 600.00:icon_mad: Even tho the 08 had a lower M.R.S.P. Might be time to look elsewhere for insurance.

Your new rate will depend on a bunch of factors: age, years driving and of course your driving record, will it not? I would figure you rate to go up, it's hard to guess how much.
You might be surprised, for some reason on one of my trucks the cost would increase a little bit each year the older the truck got, which didn't make a lot of sense to me. Maybe because parts are readily available when the truck is new?

Whether it is a Reg Cab, Supercab, or Supercrew also makes a difference. Had my 05' been a supercrew instead of a supercab I would have had to pay more, how much I can't remember.

When i traded my 06 Mustang for the 09 Challenger my rate went down by $200 for the year. When I traded my Truck for the MKS my rate went down $60 for the year. In the past two years my rate has gone down by $700. I must be getting old ;)
Guessing your rates is useless. Insurance is more about medical expenses that may occur from a collision, then about how much the car is to buy. The area you live in, the stats on theft on the model and the style of the vehicle play a big role.
